FC DUNAV TRIUMPH IN THE THIRD EDITION OF “BYALA CUP”

FC Dunav Ruse talents, born in 2005, won the third edition of the Children’s football tournament “Byala Cup”. The kids with coach Samir Mastanov grabbed the trophy of the tournament in the beautiful sea town after a challenging final against FC Cherno More (0: 0) and a dramatic penalty shootout. The little “dragons” and “sailors” enjoyed solid support from the stands, with their performance earned the applause of the neutral fans.

The small final for the third place finish with a victory for Olympic (Varna), headed by the coach Zhivko Boyadzhiev. Fourth place was for the team of Champions (Varna). Part of the competition was also FC Dobrudzha, the Turkish Sharkioy, the hosts from Chernomoretz (Byala) and Obzorche (Obzor).

Best goalkeeper awards was given to Daniel Nikolov (FC Dunav) and Valentin Dimitrov (FC Cherno More), who only conceded one goal in the four matches in which they participated. The top goalscorers of “Byala Cup” 2017 became Christian Evdokiev from FC Cherno More and winning the sympathies of everyone in the stands Dimitra Zhechkova from Dobrudzha.

The two-day tournament, held at the Chernomorets Sports Complex, was dedicated to the Day of Byala – September 5, and was co-organized by the Municipality of Byala and the Future through Sport Association. The partners had a medal to have not only for the winners of the tournament but also for every child who took part in the event. A special thank you plaque was received by each of the coaches.


We recall that earlier this year was the second edition of “Byala Cup”, where the winners were the talents from FC Cherno More, born in 2007, and a special guest was Dinamo (St. Petersburg) team. From 1 to 6 August, Byala accepted the Italian Grand Milan, becoming the first city on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, which organizes the Milan Junior Camp.
